Dear BioPreDyn Partners,
Happy New Year to everyone. I hope you had a relaxing break over the holidays.
A few clarifying words on the BioPreDyn workshop. (And thanks to all
those of you who have already filled out the doodle!)
The idea is to organize a workshop for the junior researchers involved
in the project (mainly PhD students and postdocs), where we share the
technical expertise present in the consortium. We should have a format
with lectures and some practical exercises (we can provide rented
laptops here at the CRG, in case the participants would not bring
their own). The course should be taught by PIs or senior
researchers/postdocs. Teachers would not be expected to be here all
week (although that would be preferable), but please make sure you
could come for at least two working days.
The range of topics is quite open at this point, but it would be great
if each academic lab could give an overview over the methods, tools,
and models they're working with (and are relevant in the context of
the project). Contributions by our corporate partners would be
voluntary, but of course, very welcome.
Julio Banga and I will define a more clearly defined schedule soon. In
the meantime, suggestions as to what you could teach (and who would
teach from each group) would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot for your feedback (and for filling out the doodle, in
case you haven't done so yet; see link below).
Best regards,
Yogi
