Dear all
I just submitted the revised version of the QC paper. Attached the most important files.
An important last minute addition, with possible consequences for current sequencing practice in our laboratories, is the relatively poor representation of exons with >65% in laboratories CNAG, MPIMG, and HMGU (Suppl Figure 6B). This is likely an effect of thermocyclers with high ramp speed, which are actually too fast for proper melting of high GC products. See also Aird et al. Genome Biol 2011.
Thank you very much for all your contributions and let's hope for the best
Best wishes
Peter
Dear all,
Ten fellowships are available for *PhD students *to attend the Genomic
Medicine in the Mediterranean Conference in Crete Oct 2-5, 2013, which
is co-sponsored by the GEUVADIS project.
The fellowships cover all local expenses (registration, accommodation,
meals, local transport) and the fellows only have to cover flights to
Heraklion airport.
Priority will be given to GEUVADIS partner students.
You can find information about the conference at: www.gm2conferences.com
If you are interested please contact me directly to apply _by MAY 3, 2013_.
Selection will be first-come first-serve for all Geuvadis partners but
requires an explicit commitment of the student to attend.
After that date the fellowships will open to non-Geuvadis students too.
Please distribute as necessary.
Thanks,
Manolis
