Postdoctoral Fellowship in Chordate Functional Evo-Devo and Genomics in Barcelona (Spain)
A Postdoctoral candidate is sought to apply for a Fellowship from the Catalonian Government (Spain) to join our Evo-Devo group (University of Barcelona) working with Oikopleura and (or) Zebrafish Transgenesis, Developmental Biology and Genomics.
The call will be open very soon (see attched pdf). Interested candidates, please send a brief letter of interest and a CV in one single pdf file to Cristian Cañestro (canestro(a)ub.edu). Interested candidates for future pre- or post-doctoral applications, please, feel free to contact too.

Hello Barcelona EvoDevologists,
First of all: Happy New Year! I hope you enjoyed your holidays.
I'm attaching the announcement and programme for a graduate course in morphogenesis. Please forward it to any Masters or PhD student who you think would be interested. The course is organized by Patrick Lemaire, features some interesting teachers (I'm not counting myself as one of those!), and will be held in a lovely little hamlet outside Montpellier:
http://www.hameaudeletoile.com/en-index.html
There are one or two spaces that will be available for students from Barcelona.
Best,
Yogi

Subject: Morphogenesis Course: any Master/PhD students from Barcelona interested?
To: Yogi Jaeger <Yogi.Jaeger(a)crg.eu>
Dear Yogi,
Happy new year!! Please do not forget to send me your updated travel
schedule.
I mentioned in an earlier mail that should some Barcelona Masters/PhD
students be interested in the course, we would be happy to take 1-2 in
complement of the French students. We would not be able to cover their
travel/accommodation expenses, but there may be specific schemes in
Barcelona doctoral schools, Institute or group.
Would you mind sending the program around? The targeted public are
students in the fields of developmental biology, evolution, cell
biology, systems biology or computational simulations. Some
familiarity or strong interest in modelling would be very nice.
Attendance of the course will be rewarded with 6ECTS. Interested
candidates should send me a detailed CV and a letter of motivation.
All best,
Patrick
