Dear all,
Interim report: due 22 Oct: We would like to write up (quickly) an interim report for the past 6-month achievements.
Julio B. and Alex have suggested coordinating this via a google drive doc, using gmail addresses (for whoever has them). Could the PIs and everyone else who will be involved in writing the report please send me your gmail address if you would prefer using that one? (I will invite you with your normal email if you don't send me a gmail). Let me know if you want to work offline (I will send the doc).
This report should cover the main achievements especially in the past 6 months (but can of course mention the results you are building on from previously). Figure are more than welcome. Please also include your trips and internal visits in the Annex (remember that you might not be able to claim costs for trips if they have not been justified in the interim reports).
final meeting 2015: we would like to have a one-day meeting in February, 2015 (meet the evening before for dinner, and then meeting from 9–18 the next day). Unfortunately, our ideas of great places to go were not very realistic, so we will meet in Barcelona, in February 2015. Please fill out the doodle with the date for the meeting (e.g. traveling in the previous day).

Dear all,
Please find attached the agenda for our BioPreDyn meeting on 16 May at the EBI.
If anyone else who is not teaching the workshop still wants to join the meeting, please let me know!
The WP leaders should present an overview of their WPs; this should be about 15 min long, plus or minus a few minutes as necessary. Note that we will start at 8:30, since we have a short day with a lot to discuss.
Dinner on Thursday night (only for BioPreDyn members; paid by the coordinator) will be at the Red Lion in Hinxton (see menu). Can you please mark your meal choices by 10 May?

Dear all,
Please find attached the Del. 7.2 Prototype Software for Testing that has been submitted (it is also in dropbox and the intranet).
best wishes,

Dear all,
Julio B. suggested that we organize the interim report via the dropbox that (I believe) all of you have access to. So I have now added:
to fill out— the current interim report (still empty): this should be an update of the progress in the past 6 months;
the previous one (as a model);
to fill out—an excel file for dissemination from the past 6 months.
If possible, please work directly on master doc (I will take care of any conflicting copies, and you don't need to save a file under your name but rather just work on the master doc). Let me know if you are not yet in the biopredyn dropbox but want to be.
If you prefer, you can just send me your input via email.
thanks a lot
best wishes,
Veronica
Dear all,
We have learned that registration for our upcoming EBI-BioPreDyn workshop "The Systems Biology Modelling Cycle" is still low. The workshop (which we are teaching) will be held in Hinxton, 12–15 May 2014, and will cost 600 £ a person (the price includes meals, room, and the course).
The EBI website is: http://www.ebi.ac.uk/training/course/BioPreDyn2014
Registration: http://www.ebi.ac.uk/training/course/BioPreDyn2014#course_registration
The EBI organizer has told us that the courses usually become popular over time, making it difficult for one-shot courses. However, it would be a pity if we can't fill up the course. So please, spread the word!
best wishes,
Veronica

Dear all,
I am attaching the updated Deliverables, since several people were uncertain about the deadlines. This file was stored on the AlFresco intranet (which I guess everyone hates) as well as on the Dropbox folder that I started in Sept. as an emergency substitute to the AlFresco. Please let me know if you want to join in the Dropbox (or if you need help logging into Al Fresco).
I will put the minutes from yesterday's video conference up in those 2 places tomorrow (but let me know if you want me to email them to you).
Best wishes for the holiday season!
Veronica
Dear all,
Just to let you know that Neil will be holding a "Gaussian Process Winter School" at Sheffield. He said that it is filling up fast, but there are still some spots for BioPreDyn people…please register ASAP if you are interested!

Dear all,
Can you please spread the word for us? (and apply if interested! It's a great place to work!).
The CRG has 2 new junior group leader positions open, in the CRG-EMBL Systems Biology Partnership Unit and the Gene Regulation, Stem Cells and Cancer Program. We are looking for qualified and brilliant junior researchers, and especially women are encouraged to apply.
