Utilitzar el present per predir el futur: un somni o un malson?
Mesurar, comparar, classificar i descobrir. Totes les ciències experimentals de
l'actualitat es basen en la combinació d'aquestes accions. Cada vegada que
canviem la forma com mesurem alguna cosa, també hem de canviar la nostra manera de pensar.
Les noves idees venen de diferents camps d'investigació, és el que anomenem
interdisciplinarietat. Les neurociències són un bon exemple d'això i les noves
tecnologies, disponibles gairebé per a qualsevol persona, permeten fer el seguiment
detallat del comportament de qualsevol individu.
Un exemple d'aquestes tecnologies és un Smartphone. Amb ells es poden recollir una
gran quantitat de dades sobre nosaltres, comparables fins i tot amb les dades produïdes
per les investigacions en genòmica. En un futur, es podrà modelar, analitzar i comparar el
comportament dels humans mitjançant aquests mòbils, tractant aquestes dades com si fossin
simples caràcters genetics.
