Hello,
As background material for discussing the revisions on tomorrow's call,
here's a todo list of revisions. For your information, I also included
the rebuttal letter that was sent to Nature, but it's quite long and
there's no need to go through it in detail.
To follow the advice of the editor, we'll need to make the paper more
focused, and cut some points that are not essential for the main message
of regulatory variation, and we didn't really have space to discuss in
adequate length anyway. I'm sad to say that this will mean cutting
analyses that many of you worked hard on - RNA editing, subtle splicing,
fusion transcripts. I hope that you understand that we just have to do
what we're told to do. This will of course not affect authorship in any
way, and if you are interested using your results in separate companion
papers, I'm sure that many of us would be happy to collaborate on these.
best,
Tuuli

  Dear all,
Good news from Nature - the main paper is back in the game, we'll be
 allowed to revise the paper!
Let's have an analysis group TC on Thursday Feb 13th at 4pm CET to
discuss the revisions. I'll send you a list of the revisions by
 tomorrow morning.
 best,
 Tuuli
